Tournament Services

The NMSU Golf Course is available for all of your tournament and outing needs and is the perfect way to entertain clients, employees or friends.

The NMSU Golf Course is the most complete facility in the area and allows you a wide variety of options when scheduling your tournament. Our PGA Professional Staff will assist you in all aspects of your outing including tournament coordination, course set up, bag drop service, guest registration, tournament scoring, food & beverage and tournament prizes. Our fleet of 68 golf carts allows us to handle any size event. Events may be scheduled Monday through Thursday with a limited number of Friday and weekend dates available.

Professional Staff

The PGA Professional Staff at the NMSU Golf Course looks forward to working with your group to make your golf experience as enjoyable as possible. The NMSU Golf Course Tournament Director and Food and Beverage Manager will work with you in putting together every detail for your event. Whether you have 16 or 120 players, our staff wants to make your event a success.

Your Event

When hosting an event at the NMSU Golf Course, you can choose from a wide variety of service options.

• Bag Drop Service
  Our staff will provide assistance unloading clubs from cars to clearly labeled carts.
• Scorecards
  Professionally prepared scorecards will be ready for your group upon arrival.
• Contests
  Closest to the pin contests and long drive contests are among the contests our staff will be happy to prepare for your event.
• Guest Registration
  Tables and chairs can be set up for registration in either the clubhouse or adjacent to the cart staging area where you can greet guests as requested.
• Event Information Sheet
  Our staff will be happy to prepare an event information sheet for your event which will list event format, special contests and event rules. It will be distributed to your group prior to play.
• Tournament Scoring
  Our staff will be happy to prepare an easy to read summary sheet for your outing and provide complete and accurate scoring of your event.
• Tournament Prizes
  The NMSU Golf Course offers a well stocked Pro Shop with merchandise that will meet all of your guest’s needs as well as personalized items which may be specially ordered. Gift Certificates are also available.
• Food & Beverage
  The Player’s Grill offers a wide variety of food and beverage options for your outing ranging from continental breakfasts, box lunches, buffets and sit down meals. The NMSU Golf Course also has two beverage carts where guests can make purchases during their round. The Player’s Grill also offers a number of beverage options ranging from hosted to cash bars for guests.

Fees & Tee Times

Tournament Fees will include all greens fees, driving range fees and cart fees. All merchandise and gift certificate purchases along with food and beverage purchases are additional.

Outings may generally be scheduled Monday through Thursday with a limited number of Friday and weekend days available. Shotgun Starts are available for groups with a minimum of 60 players and will be scheduled between 7:30am & 8:30am depending on the time the sun rises. Outings with less than 60 players will utilize starting times that will be backed up from Noon.
